Tarceva trial |
After the results of the Tarceva treatments came back, Dr. Govindan
repeated the scans and found that the tumors had grown approx.
20%. Dr. Govindan decided that the Tarceva needed to be changed,
and now I'm trying a form of chemo called Altima.
It was originally used for treating Mesthothelioma, now it's
being used for lung and brain cancer.
I'm writing this from the 7th floor of Barnes Hospital, where
I was admitted today for stomach problems over the past 3 weeks.
I won't bore you with details, but they want to manage this
in-patient over the next 24 to 48 hours. We are currently waiting
for the results from several tests, and then I'll go back to
home care. I come back on the 28th for my 2nd round of Alimta,
and I'll update you more then. Until then, keep smiling.
